Blood Splatter Vinyl LP With Film Poster Reproduction

ABKCO issued this pressing of Stelvio Cipriani's Blindman score for Record Store Day 2023, under catalog number 2142-1. The record is pressed on clear vinyl splattered in red, and the package adds new liner notes by guitarist Gary Lucas and a reproduction of the original film poster. It was the score's first release on vinyl; before it, the music had only appeared on a CD in Italy and digitally.

Blindman is a 1971 Italian western directed by Ferdinando Baldi and loosely modeled on the Japanese Zatoichi films. Tony Anthony plays a blind gunfighter tracking fifty abducted women, and Ringo Starr appears as one of the bandits. Allen Klein co-produced it, and it was shot at Cinecitta in Rome and on location in southern Spain.

Cipriani, who died in 2018, wrote every track. His score moves between orchestral writing and mariachi themes, with four numbered variations of "Blindman's Mariachi" spread across the two sides; the vocal group 4 + 4 led by Nora Orlandi sings on the record.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.
