Black Vinyl LP In Gatefold Jacket

This is Polydor's 2025 US reissue of the This Is Spinal Tap soundtrack on a single black LP in a gatefold jacket, released on September 5, 2025. Bernie Grundman newly remastered it from the soundtrack's original stereo analog master tapes, and the record was pressed at GZ Media. Eleven songs run six on the first side and five on the second.

The soundtrack comes from the 1984 mockumentary co-written and directed by Rob Reiner, in which Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer play members of the fictional band. Guest, McKean and Shearer produced the album themselves, and all songs are credited to the three of them with Reiner. Patrick McDonald recorded, engineered and mixed it. The reissue arrived the same month as the sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, and followed a new 4K restoration of the film that opened in US theaters that summer.

McKean sings lead and plays guitar as David St. Hubbins, Guest plays lead guitar and mandolin as Nigel Tufnel, and Shearer plays bass as Derek Smalls; on "Big Bottom," St. Hubbins and Tufnel play bass as well. David Kaff plays keyboards as Viv Savage and Ric Parnell plays drums as Mick Shrimpton, with Harlan Collins on synthesizers and John Sinclair on keyboards.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
