Black Vinyl LP With Printed Lyric Insert

This is the standard black vinyl pressing of Union, issued in the US by Transmit Sound under catalog number TS2020LP and distributed by Thirty Tigers. The thirteen songs run six on Side A and seven on Side B. Brad Sarno mastered the album and Clint Holley cut the lacquers at Well Made Music. The LP comes with a printed insert carrying the lyrics on one side and band photographs on the other, plus a download card.

Union was released on March 29, 2019, following Notes Of Blue (2017). Jay Farrar produced it and wrote and arranged all thirteen songs. The band recorded in three places: Red Pill Studio in St. Louis; the Mother Jones Museum in Mt. Olive, Illinois, where "The 99," "Reality Winner" and the title track were cut; and the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, home of "Lady Liberty," "Truth To Power Blues," "Rebel Girl" and "The Symbol." John Agnello mixed the record.

The lineup is Farrar on vocals and acoustic and baritone guitar, Chris Frame on electric, 12-string and baritone guitar, Mark Spencer on slide guitar, lap steel, piano and organ, Andrew Duplantis on bass and Mark Patterson on drums. Writing for AllMusic, Mark Deming said Farrar was "singing about the specifics of a divided nation in a way he never has before," and Paste's Lee Zimmerman wrote that he shares his convictions "with authority and insistence." The album holds a Metacritic score of 68.

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
