30th Anniversary Edition White Pearlescent Vinyl LP

Sub Pop's 30th anniversary edition of Call The Doctor, Sleater-Kinney's second album, is cut as a single LP on what the label calls white-pearlescent vinyl. It carries catalog number SP1104 and a July 24, 2026 street date. The label's product image shows a translucent disc with white and silver swirls, packed with a printed lyric insert.

The album first came out on March 25, 1996, on the queercore label Chainsaw Records. It was written in three weeks and recorded in four days in September 1995, with John Goodmanson producing alongside the band. Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein shared guitars and vocals, Lora Macfarlane played drums, and the band worked without a bassist. Tucker has said the writing grew out of a "crap" job and the way people are "consumerized and commodified."

Sub Pop's own notes say the record is often treated as the band's first proper album, because Tucker and Brownstein had left Heavens to Betsy and Excuse 17 by the time it was made. It placed third in The Village Voice's Pazz & Jop critics' poll for 1996, and in 2010 Rolling Stone's editors ranked it 49th among the 100 greatest albums of the nineties. Nielsen SoundScan counted 60,000 US copies sold by February 2015. Sub Pop first reissued it in 2014, remastered by Greg Calbi, alongside remasters of the band's six other albums and a seven-album vinyl box set.

• Please retain all original packaging, including the outer box and packing materials

• Contact us as soon as possible (ideally immediately) after delivery

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
