Pink Vinyl 7-Inch Single, 45 RPM

This is the limited-edition 7-inch of "Baby I Love You," pressed on pink vinyl and cut to play at 45 RPM. It carries the number PAX-AM 060 in the catalog of Pax-Am, Ryan Adams' own label, and was issued with Blue Note Records under catalog number B002824921 on June 29, 2018. The record was made in the USA.

Adams first put the song out on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2018, as his first new music since the 2017 album Prisoner. It is an original, not a cover of the Ronettes song of the same name. Pax-Am's own copy calls it a song to one's baby, with the usual key ingredient "sad" replaced by "happy." Stereogum's write-up pointed to chiming, Byrds-like guitars and Phil Spector-style bells. The single reached No. 15 on Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart, and its video was directed by Brook Linder.

Adams wrote and produced both sides, sings, and plays guitars and bass. Johnny T. Yerington, his bandmate in the punk side project The Finger, plays drums on the A-side. The B-side, "Was I Wrong?", was previously unreleased and adds a string section of Daphne Chen, Eric Gorfain, Leah Katz and Richard Dodd. Charlie Stavish mixed the record and Gavin Lurssen mastered it. Hilary Remnant designed the sleeve around Adams' own cover photograph of pink roses, with a back-cover photo by Lauren Crowley.

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
