Black Vinyl 2LP With Gold Foil Gatefold Jacket

This is the black vinyl edition of the 20th anniversary reissue that Sargent House released on July 31, 2026: two LPs in a gold foil gatefold jacket. It is the general-release pressing of the set. The limited colorways were divided between independent record stores, the label's web stores and the band's tour.

The reissue pairs a new remaster of all 13 original tracks with four live recordings issued here for the first time. The label's announcement describes the album as the point where the band moved past its ska-punk beginnings toward progressive rock, jazz fusion, reggae, dub and psych.

...And The Battle Begun first appeared in 2006, following The Resignation (2003), and was followed by Mandala in 2009. The original was mastered at Marcussen Mastering, and its first vinyl issue, in October 2007, spread the album across two 10-inch records. Aaron Nagel painted the cover.

Adam Thomson directed the music video for the title track, which the band filmed on December 22, 2006. Reviewing the album in November 2006, the Sacramento News & Review wrote that it "challenges your ears in the best way possible, with shifting time signatures, wildly varying moods and general chaotic genius."

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.

Evergreen Vinyl is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after being marked as delivered by the carrier. Customers are responsible for selecting a shipping address where deliveries can be received safely.

• Please retain all original packaging, including the outer box and packing materials

• Contact us as soon as possible (ideally immediately) after delivery

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
