Record Store Day 2022 Black 180g Vinyl 2LP With Printed Inner Sleeves

This double LP was issued for Record Store Day on April 23, 2022, on 180-gram black vinyl, under Chess and UMC catalog number 3891437. Frank Arkwright mastered the recording and cut the lacquers at Abbey Road Studios, and Optimal Media pressed the records in the EU. The two discs sit in printed inner sleeves, and a hype sticker on the front describes the set as a previously unreleased live concert recording.

The concert was recorded at the San Diego Sports Arena on February 8, 1974, the year of Gallagher's Irish Tour '74, which the label describes as his biggest-selling record. The show had been broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour radio program and was recovered from the Rory Gallagher archives for this release. John Stronach engineered the original recording, Martin Dubka mixed it, and Daniel Gallagher, Rory's nephew, served as executive producer.

Gallagher sings and plays guitar, backed by Gerry McAvoy on bass, Lou Martin on keyboards and Rod De'Ath on drums, the band heard on Irish Tour '74. The seven-song set mixes Gallagher originals such as "Cradle Rock" and "A Million Miles Away" with Muddy Waters' "I Wonder Who" and the traditional "Bullfrog Blues," and "In Your Town" runs almost twenty minutes across side D. The release followed Gallagher's RSD 2021 set Cleveland Calling, Pt. 2, which reached No. 2 on Billboard's Blues Albums chart.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
