RSD Black Friday 2021 Red & Yellow Seahorse Vinyl 2LP

Real Gone Music issued this double LP for Record Store Day's Black Friday event on November 26, 2021, the first time Rob Dickinson's 2005 solo debut had appeared on vinyl. Both discs are pressed in red and yellow "seahorse" vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket printed with the lyrics. The run was limited to 2,000 copies worldwide, and Record Store Day lists the US allocation at 1,250. The catalog number is RGM-1316.

This is the expanded version of the album, not the original 2005 CD. It follows the resequenced running order of the 2008 reissue and includes "The End of the World," a song first released that year. Disc two closes the album and then carries the Nude EP, which begins at the end of side C: six Catherine Wheel songs reworked acoustically, first issued on the 2008 deluxe CD. Billie Eilish covered "The End of the World" in 2019 for the Radio 1 Piano Sessions on Phil Taggart's Chillest Show.

Dickinson fronted the English alternative rock band Catherine Wheel from 1990 to 2000. Fresh Wine for the Horses was recorded in 2003 and 2004 at Oulton Broad in Suffolk and in New York and Los Angeles, produced by Dickinson with David Rolfe, Paul Umbach and Greg Collins. It gathers songs he wrote in the Catherine Wheel years that never reached an official release, alongside material written after the band split. Sanctuary first released it in 2005, and Dickinson toured small venues across the United States and Canada playing acoustic sets. "Mutineer" is a Warren Zevon song, and "The Storm" was featured in an episode of Discovery's Deadliest Catch.
