30th Anniversary Special Edition Red & Black Vinyl 2LP

This 30th anniversary special edition of Republica's self-titled debut is pressed on two LPs of red and black "cornetto" vinyl, a colorway the reissue notes say was inspired by singer Saffron's hair. The first LP carries the original album, closing on the radio mix of "Holly" and the original UK mix of "Ready To Go." The second LP holds the band's complete set from A Day At The Races, the August 1997 event at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London. Six of those live tracks were issued briefly on CD at the end of 1997; the other three, mixed and mastered like the rest from the original multi-track sources, appear here for the first time. Catalog number 19802954721.

Republica was first released on July 30, 1996. The band of Saffron, Tim Dorney, Andy Todd, Johnny Male and Alix Tiernan recorded it between 1994 and 1995 at Milo Studios and The Workhouse in London, and produced it with Ben Grosse. It was released on Deconstruction in the UK and on RCA in the US.

"Ready To Go" reached No. 13 in the UK and "Drop Dead Gorgeous" No. 7, and the album peaked at No. 4 on the UK chart during a six-week Top 10 run. The Line of Best Fit reports that the record charted in the Modern Rock Top 10 in North America and appeared on the Scream soundtrack at director Wes Craven's request, and that its sync placements now number more than 500, among them Captain Marvel, Ted Lasso and Yellowjackets.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
