The Marías mark the second anniversary of their breakout album Submarine with an indie-exclusive RSD Essentials pressing on half clear & half sea blue vinyl, packaged with alternate cover art unique to this edition.

Released May 31, 2024 on Nice Life/Atlantic, Submarine is the Los Angeles band's second full-length, written after vocalist María Zardoya and producer Josh Conway ended their romantic relationship and the band took a six-month hiatus. The fourteen-track album moves between English and Spanish across producers Conway and Gianluca Buccellati, with Zardoya citing Krzysztof Kieślowski's Three Colours: Blue as the source of the record's "very intentional" shift in palette from the warm reds of 2021's Cinema to deeper blues.

The album peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 and #6 on US Top Rock & Alternative Albums. Lead single "No One Noticed" went viral on TikTok in the summer of 2024, eventually charting at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and leading to a Tonight Show performance.
