Timeless is a 10-track collection of rare and previously unreleased studio recordings from Prince's vault, spanning 1977 to 2016 - the first Prince release curated to cover every major era of his career. The set was mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer and former Prince collaborator Chris James (HITnRUN Phase Two, Art Official Age, Plectrumelectrum).

The single "Stone" is a previously unreleased spring 1995 recording, and "With This Tear" (recorded November 1991 at Paisley Park) features Prince producing, arranging, composing, and performing every instrument. This is the standard black vinyl edition.
