Primarily drawn from a dynamic 1963 quintet session, Vertigo captures Jackie McLean across a dizzying array of styles — from hard bop and slow blues to sophisticated funk and bristling post-bop — joined by Donald Byrd, Herbie Hancock, Butch Warren and Tony Williams.

This stereo Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
