Peasants Revolt is the latest album from trans folksinger Creekbed Carter Hogan, a set of medieval-Americana songs written while living and moving between the North and the South. Across its 10 tracks Hogan draws on 14th-century ballads, Appalachian strike songs, labor and union songs, and Ethiopian jazz, working in a tradition that runs from Hazel Dickens and John Prine to ANOHNI. The songs themselves shift mid-track, building on changing tempos and arrangements. This Indie Exclusive pressing is on lime green colored vinyl and is autographed.
