Indie Exclusive Ground Red Vinyl LP

This is the independent-retail edition of Brandon Flowers' Thrasher: a limited single LP pressed on Ground Red vinyl, a red marbled with black, housed in a gatefold jacket with a printed inner sleeve. Its ten songs run five to a side, opening with "Does It Ever Cross Your Mind?" and closing with "An American Dream."

Thrasher is Flowers' third solo studio album and his first since The Desired Effect in 2015, issued by Island Records on August 21, 2026. It is a concept record that picks up where the Killers' 2021 album Pressure Machine left off, returning to Nephi, Utah, the small town where Flowers lived from the age of eight until his junior year of high school. He has traced its country-western sound to his father's music, citing Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.

The sessions ran through July 2025 at Historic RCA Studio A in Nashville, with "Tiger's Blood," "Paradise" and "An American Dream" recorded at June Audio in Provo, Utah. Jonathan Rado and Shawn Everett, producers of the Killers' Imploding the Mirage and Pressure Machine, produced the album, with Jed Jones co-producing "Tiger's Blood" and "Paradise." The players included guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton and harmonica player Charlie McCoy, whose playing appears on all four of Bob Dylan's Nashville records. Songs were cut live three or four times until one take held, and "Plans" was the last recorded, slowed into a country song from a Voice Memos recording Flowers had made.

"Plans," "Paradise" and "Tiger's Blood" were issued as singles ahead of the album. Thrasher debuted at number three on the UK Albums Chart, number two in Scotland and number 196 on the Billboard 200, and Metacritic's weighted average from seventeen critic scores is 73 out of 100. Chris Phelps shot the cover photograph, with creative direction by Flowers and Warren Fu.
