Limited Edition Recycled Yellow Vinyl

This is the 2025 Parlophone reissue of No Nuclear War, pressed on one LP of recycled yellow vinyl and made in Germany. A sticker on the front reads "80 Years Of Peter Tosh." The record belongs to a run of Tosh solo albums that the Peter Tosh Foundation returned to vinyl for his 80th Earthstrong, or birthday, starting with Mama Africa in October 2024.

The running order follows the 2002 remaster. Side B closes on the single version of the title track, a bonus track from EMI's 2002 CD reissue; the original 1987 LP ended with "Come Together."

No Nuclear War was the seventh and final studio album of Tosh's career, released by EMI in 1987 and produced by Tosh with Marlene Tosh. He had spent four years contesting the terms of his record contract before he made it. Its songs take on the arms race and South African apartheid directly, in "No Nuclear War" and "Fight Apartheid." Tosh was killed in September 1987, shortly after the album came out, and in 1988 it won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.

The band includes Carlton "Santa" Davis on drums, Tyrone Downie and Keith Sterling on keyboards, and Uziah "Sticky" Thompson on percussion, with a horn section that counts Dean Fraser and David Madden. Nadine Sutherland, Pam Hall and June Lodge are among the backing singers. Neville Garrick drew the cover, which shows Tosh in a gas mask with the word "Holocaust" written across the title.
