Black 140g Vinyl 2LP In Gatefold Jacket

The standard vinyl edition of Lost Horizon from Steamhammer: two solid black 140-gram LPs in a gatefold jacket, with padded inner sleeves and an insert. The twelve tracks run three to a side across four sides. Steamhammer also sells a marbled blue-and-white pressing through its own shop; this UPC is the black edition.

Lost Horizon is Molly Hatchet's first studio album in 16 years, following Justice, which SPV released in 2010. All twelve songs were recorded in Studio 2 at Abbey Road in London. "We used the same studio and the exact same microphones," guitarist Bobby Ingram has said of following the Beatles into the room. Ingram produced the record, Chris Bolster engineered it, and Ingram has said he wrote the majority of the songs, many of them during the pandemic. He has also said David Gilmour's background singers came in to sing on the sessions, and he calls the result "Molly Hatchet 2.0."

The lineup is Ingram on lead guitar, long-standing members John Galvin on keyboards and Tim Lindsey on bass, and two new recruits, Garrett Ramsden on drums and Parker Lee on lead vocals. "Parker brings to mind a young Danny Joe Brown, our unforgotten original singer," Ingram has said. "Firing Line," which opens the album in an enhanced version, first appeared in November 2023 as the band's first original song in 13 years. "Dixie Highway" followed as the album's first single in August 2026, with a lyric video on Steamhammer's channel, and "Once A Gambler" came after it in October.

Molly Hatchet formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1971. The 1978 debut, Molly Hatchet, was certified Platinum by the RIAA, and Flirtin' with Disaster reached No. 19 in the US and went double Platinum. Ingram joined in 1987 and has owned the Molly Hatchet name since 2000. All of the band's original members have died, as have former lead singers Jimmy Farrar and Phil McCormack.
