Black 140g Vinyl LP With Printed Lyric Inner Sleeve
This is the standard black pressing of True North, issued by Paradise of Bachelors under catalog number PoB-044. The label specifies 140-gram virgin vinyl in a heavy-duty matte board jacket, with a printed inner sleeve carrying the lyrics. A limited red-wine colored pressing was released alongside it under its own barcode.
True North followed Chapman's 2017 album 50 and was released in February 2019. Steve Gunn produced it again and plays guitar and drums. It was recorded at Mwnci Studios in rural West Wales, with Jimmy Robertson engineering and mixing.
Bridget St John sings on the record, BJ Cole plays pedal steel and Sarah Smout plays cello. Chapman wrote all eleven songs. The label's notes describe the set as more atmospheric and minimal than 50, with songs ranging from the Bahamas to Texas to the Leeds of Chapman's childhood.
The album reached No. 1 on the UK Americana Albums chart and No. 16 on the UK Independent Albums chart, and holds a Metacritic score of 82.
Evergreen Vinyl ships records with care and attention to detail, using established carriers and packaging practices designed to protect physical media in transit.
