Indie Exclusive Burgundy Vinyl 2LP, 20th Anniversary Edition

This 20th anniversary edition of I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child is a two-LP set pressed on burgundy vinyl, issued by Favorite Gentlemen as an Indie Exclusive under catalog number FGR22IEX, alongside a gold-vinyl edition (FGR22LP). Disc one holds the original eleven-song album. Disc two holds reimagined versions of all eleven songs in the same running order. The label describes the anniversary reissue as carrying all-new packaging.

I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child is the debut full-length by the Atlanta band Manchester Orchestra, first released in 2006. The label's notes say it was recorded without a label behind it, with Andy Hull writing at 19. Dan Hannon produced and mixed the record and plays guitar on it; Glenn Schick mastered it, and Jordan Noel made the artwork. Hull sings and plays guitar and keyboards, with Chris Freeman on percussion and keyboards, Jonathan Corley on bass and Jeremiah Edmond on drums and percussion; Andy Lee adds guitar on "The Neighborhood Is Bleeding."

According to the label, word of mouth carried the album to a re-release through the band's own Favorite Gentlemen imprint in partnership with Canvasback/Sony, followed by tours with Kings of Leon, sets at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Reading and Leeds, and the band's national television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman on September 6, 2007. IGN scored the album 8.9 out of 10; Pitchfork gave it 5.1.
