Black Vinyl LP in Gatefold Jacket

This is the black vinyl edition of West End Girl: a single LP carrying all fourteen songs, seven to a side, housed in a gatefold jacket with a printed insert. The disc was manufactured in Germany for BMG, and the jacket carries a Parental Advisory notice for explicit lyrics. It arrived on January 30, 2026, as part of the album's first physical release, which also brought a CD, a polka dot vinyl edition and a limited USB edition.

West End Girl is Lily Allen's fifth studio album and her first in seven years. It was released digitally through BMG on October 24, 2025, her first record after leaving Parlophone. Most of it was written and recorded over ten days in December 2024 at producer Blue May's home in Los Angeles; a further six days in February 2025 produced the title track and "Ruminating." Allen co-produced with Blue May, Kito and Seb Chew, among others, and co-wrote with Violet Skies, Hayley Gene Penner and Chloe Angelides.

On the first day of sessions Allen brought eighteen song titles and a plan for a chronological album, and fourteen of them were finished within the ten days. She has said the lyrics draw on real experiences from her marriage, while describing the record as something that could be considered autofiction. "Nonmonogamummy" features Specialist Moss, and "Beg For Me" is built on a slowed sample of Lumidee's "Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)."

The album reached number two on the UK Albums Chart, where it was certified Gold, and made the top ten in Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. It was nominated for British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards. "Pussy Palace" peaked at number eight in the UK, Allen's first top ten there since "Air Balloon" in 2014, and the lead single "Madeline" reached the top twenty.

The cover is a painting by the Spanish artist Nieves Gonzalez, who drew on sixteenth- and seventeenth-century images of saints and martyrs. In March 2026 Allen loaned the original painting to the National Portrait Gallery in London for a year.
