Remastered 180-Gram LP In A Replica Wheel Gatefold
This is the single-LP edition of Led Zeppelin III from Atlantic's 2014 reissue program, remastered by Jimmy Page and pressed on 180-gram vinyl under catalog number R1-535341. The gatefold reproduces the first pressing, down to a working version of the original rotating cover wheel and its die-cut holes. Ten songs, five to a side.
Page and Robert Plant began writing the album in 1970 at Bron-Yr-Aur, a cottage in Wales, and John Bonham and John Paul Jones joined them there for rehearsals. Recording started at Olympic Studios in London in May 1970, and Atlantic released the record on October 5, 1970.
Atlantic's notes say the album went to the top of charts worldwide on release and single out "Immigrant Song," the video above, and "Since I've Been Loving You." It is certified six times platinum. This remaster came out on June 3, 2014, together with Page's new versions of the first two albums.
Evergreen Vinyl ships records with care and attention to detail, using established carriers and packaging practices designed to protect physical media in transit.
