Tangerine & Aqua Splatter Vinyl, National Album Day 2025
This is the limited Tangerine and Aqua Splatter LP pressed for the UK's National Album Day 2025. Universal Music UK issued it on October 18, 2025 under catalog number 7855646, one of the titles chosen for that year's rock-themed event. It is a single LP that keeps the original five-and-five side sequence, housed in a picture sleeve that reproduces the 1977 artwork and sealed with a hype sticker.
Love Gun was Kiss's sixth studio album, released by Casablanca on June 17, 1977. It went platinum and became the band's first top 5 album on the Billboard 200. The band and producer Eddie Kramer recorded it at the Record Plant in New York in May 1977. Ken Kelly, who had painted the cover of Destroyer, painted this one too.
It is also the first Kiss studio album with a lead vocal from Ace Frehley. "Shock Me" was the first lead vocal he ever recorded, and he sang it lying on the studio floor. That made Love Gun the first record on which all four original members sing lead, and it was the last studio album the original lineup made together.
