Standard Black Vinyl LP

This is the standard black edition of Kelly Clarkson's When Christmas Comes Around... on a single 12-inch LP, issued in the US by Atlantic with an October 28, 2022 street date. All fifteen of the album's tracks are cut to two sides: side one runs eight songs, from "Merry Christmas Baby" through the Ariana Grande duet "Santa, Can't You Hear Me," and side two carries the other seven. The shrinkwrap holds a hype sticker naming the guest features with Ariana Grande, Chris Stapleton and Brett Eldredge.

Warner Music's official store marks the closing three songs as bonus tracks, and each was out before the album was. "Christmas Eve" dates from 2017, "Under the Mistletoe" with Brett Eldredge from 2020, and the 2020 cover of Vince Vance & the Valiants' "All I Want for Christmas Is You" rounds out side two.

The album itself first came out on October 15, 2021, as Clarkson's ninth studio album and her second Christmas record, eight years after Wrapped in Red. In an Entertainment Tonight interview she said she had not intended to make another one, and decided to after the strain of her highly publicized divorce. Its producers include Jesse Shatkin, Jason Halbert and Joseph Trapanese, and it sets holiday standards such as "Last Christmas," "Santa Baby" and "Jingle Bell Rock" beside new songs Clarkson co-wrote. The lead single, "Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You)," written with Jessi Collins and Jason Halbert, arrived on September 23, 2021. NBC aired a Christmas special under the album's title that December, and the record was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
