The Gem arrived on September 25, 2026, issued worldwide on CD, cassette and vinyl at once. Ten songs, about thirty-five minutes, and the shortest way into a record that took its maker the better part of a year.
Julia Jacklin is an Australian songwriter with three prior albums behind her, and this is the fourth. Robert Muinos shares the production credit; he also owns the studio where it was tracked. The playing is handled by a small group of people Jacklin knew already, Jacob Diamond, Mimi Gilbert and Jess Elwood, working in one building over a long stretch rather than a booked fortnight.
It closes with "I Wish," sung with The Maes, the only track on the record credited to more than one voice. Before it come "Walk On Me," at six minutes the longest thing here, and "Get Away From Me (I Think I'll Love You Soon)," the song 4AD put out first. The album marks Jacklin's move to 4AD after Don't Let The Kids Win in 2016, Crushing in 2019 and Pre Pleasure in 2022.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates
Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.
Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.
While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.
Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.
Signature Requirements
Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.
