This is the Indie Exclusive pressing of plum, a single LP on ivory vinyl made for independent record stores and released by Nice Life and Atlantic on June 12, 2026. Side A carries four songs, "bully" through "focus," and side B the remaining five, from "crumble" to "forever."
josh conway plays drums and produces in The Marías, and plum is his first solo album. He made much of it in Joshua Tree, where he, Jared Solomon and Paul Cherry set up a makeshift studio in a house for a couple of weeks; Conway limited himself to a vocal microphone while the other two played around him. He told Clash that the lyrics came together in about a week through a morning-writing routine, and that the one thing he knew at the start was that he did not want the record to sound like The Marías.
Conway has credited his bandmate María Zardoya with encouraging the project. For the live shows he has been joined by Jesse Perlman of The Marías on guitar and Cole Preston of Wallows on drums. The video above is the visualizer for "crumble," from Conway's own channel.
