5LP Box Set on 140g Black Vinyl, Five 12-Inch EPs in a Leather-Laminate Slipcase

Five EPs from the Grace era, each cut to its own 12-inch record and sleeved in its own full-color jacket. Music On Vinyl presses all five on 140g black vinyl, adds a double-sided full-color insert with photographs and liner notes, and houses the set in a heavyweight leather-laminate outer sleeve with a 15mm spine. The label's catalog number is MOVLP026.

The records follow the label's running order: Peyote Radio Theatre (July 1994), So Real (June 1995), Live From The Bataclan (October 1995), The Grace E.P. (February 1996) and Last Goodbye (January 1995). Two of them, Peyote Radio Theatre and So Real, were promotional-only issues that never went on general sale. The other three were territory releases: Live From The Bataclan in France, The Grace E.P. in Australia and Last Goodbye in Japan. The Grace E.P. jacket still carries its original line about live tracks from the Australian Hard Luck Tour of 1996.

Across 19 tracks the set mixes live performances, B-sides and alternate studio versions of songs first heard on Grace, Buckley's only studio album, released by Columbia in 1994. Four covers stand out by length or origin: a version of Van Morrison's "The Way Young Lovers Do" that runs about 12 minutes, a take on Alex Chilton's "Kanga-Roo" of roughly 14 minutes, Hank Williams's "Lost Highway," and a live medley of "Je N'En Connais Pas la Fin" and "Hymne A l'Amour." The Grace E.P. ends with "Tongue," an 11-minute ambient studio instrumental.

"Last Goodbye," which opens the fifth record, was the second single from Grace, issued in May 1995. It reached No. 19 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and was Buckley's most commercially successful song in the US during his lifetime.

Columbia first collected the five EPs as a box in 2002. Music On Vinyl pressed the set before, as a 2009 box on 180g vinyl; this 2026 edition returns it to print on 140g.
