Limited Edition Double Picture Disc Vinyl, Gatefold Jacket

EMI's 2013 European edition of Maiden England '88 puts the complete concert on two picture discs in a gatefold jacket, with printed inner sleeves carrying the lyrics. The shrinkwrap sticker names it a limited edition double picture disc and points to three previously unreleased encores. A note on the release states that picture vinyl can compromise sound quality. Ted Jensen and Leon Zervos remastered the audio, Sean Magee cut the lacquers at Abbey Road Studios, and Optimal Media pressed the discs.

The show was filmed over two nights at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, November 27 and 28, 1988, during the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son tour. Steve Harris directed and edited the film himself, spending about six months on it at his home in Essex. It first appeared on VHS in November 1989, and a 1994 CD left off "Can I Play With Madness" and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" for lack of space.

For the 2013 release Kevin Shirley compiled the full concert and mixed the restored encores, "Run To The Hills," "Running Free" and "Sanctuary," which close side D. Martin Birch's original production covers the rest. Bruce Dickinson, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Steve Harris and Nicko McBrain are joined by Michael Kenney on keyboards. Ross Halfin took the photographs, and Hervé Monjeaud painted the front cover.

The 2013 album reached No. 30 in the UK, No. 14 in Germany and No. 148 on the Billboard 200, and the band built its 2012 to 2014 Maiden England World Tour largely around the film's setlist and stage design.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
