Indie Exclusive One-Step Edition, 180 Gram 2LP at 45 RPM, Numbered

Issued for the album's 30th anniversary, this Dookie comes from the Because Sound Matters One-Step series and is limited to 3,000 numbered copies. The audio source is the original analog master tapes, and the album is spread over two 180-gram LPs cut at 45 RPM, so the album takes four sides instead of two. The double LP sits in an "Old Style" double gatefold tip-on jacket with the original artwork, housed in a foil-stamped, numbered slipcase.

Each step of the chain is named on the release. Chris Bellman cut the lacquers at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Dorin Sauerbier did the One-Step plating at Record Technology, Inc., which also pressed the records on Neotech VR900-D2 high-performance compound. Stoughton Printing produced the slipcase and the tip-on jackets.

Released by Reprise on February 1, 1994, Dookie was Green Day's third album and their major-label debut, and their first with producer Rob Cavallo. It was recorded in 1993 at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley and Music Grinder in Hollywood, with most of the songs written by Billie Joe Armstrong; Mike Dirnt wrote "Emenius Sleepus."

"Longview," "Basket Case," "Welcome to Paradise" and "When I Come Around" were the singles. The album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, won a Grammy in 1995, and has been certified double diamond, 20 times platinum, by the RIAA.
