180 Gram Black Vinyl, 2026 Remix & Remaster

This edition presents In A Glass House in a new 2026 stereo mix by Grammy-winning producer Eber Pinheiro and the band's own Derek Shulman, on a single 180-gram black LP. The jacket reproduces the 1973 original, with a clear window over a black-and-white image of the group, and Fred Kevorkian mastered the new mix. The video above is the band's release of "Way of Life" from this remix.

The album was Gentle Giant's fifth, released on September 21, 1973, and the first after founding member Phil Shulman left. The remaining five recorded it that July at Advision Studios in London and produced it with engineer Gary Martin. It is loosely built around the saying that people in glass houses should not throw stones, and it opens and closes with the sound of breaking glass. The closing "Index" revisits a fragment of every other track on the record.

Columbia Records, the band's US label at the time, rejected the album as uncommercial, so American listeners could buy it only as an import until a CD reissue in 1992. Columbia dropped the band over it, and that left Gentle Giant owning the master recording outright.

Derek Shulman sings and plays saxophones and recorder. Gary Green plays six- and twelve-string guitars and mandolin, Kerry Minnear keyboards, tuned percussion and recorder, Ray Shulman bass, violin and acoustic guitar, and John Weathers drums. In 2026 the remixed edition reached No. 1 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and No. 3 on the UK Independent Albums chart.

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.
