Indie Exclusive Transparent Yellow Vinyl LP

Campfire Punkrock 20 marks twenty years since Frank Turner's first solo EP, and this is the Indie Exclusive pressing on transparent yellow vinyl. Side A holds the original EP plus two more studio songs, "The Real Damage" and "The Ballad of Me and My Friends," both added to the 2007 US version. Side B is a previously unreleased live set from Monkey Chews in Camden, recorded on February 9, 2006, which Xtra Mile Recordings describes as Turner's 50th solo show. The jacket is new artwork, a gold campfire on matte black, and the insert carries the lyrics and new liner notes.

Turner's liner notes give the history. Ben Lloyd recorded the songs at bassist Tarrant Anderson's house in Oxford in 2006, apart from "The Ballad of Me and My Friends," which Jamie Grime recorded at the Camden Barfly. Tristan Ivemy mixed tracks two through six and Frank Arkwright mastered them. Turner sang and played guitar and mandolin. The rest of the band was Anderson, Lloyd, Nigel Powell and Jamie, together the band Dive Dive, with Cat at Risk on violin. Joel Armsden recorded the live set, which Turner mastered himself in 2025. The notes add that the first and last studio tracks come from his debut album, Sleep Is for the Week.

The anniversary release reached No. 7 on the UK Independent Albums chart, No. 12 on the UK Albums Sales chart and No. 22 in Scotland in April 2026. "Nashville Tennessee" from the Camden set is the video above.
