Indie Exclusive 180g Scorched Fog Swirl Vinyl in Gatefold Jacket

This is the indie-retail exclusive pressing of Location Lost: a single 180-gram LP in Scorched Fog Swirl, clear vinyl clouded with red and black, housed in a gatefold jacket. Its street date is July 17, 2026, nearly three months after the album's April 24 release, and it is pressed for independent record stores. The cover is Glen Wexler's design, a vast bloodshot eye hanging over a city skyline while an astronaut takes aim from a rooftop.

Location Lost is Failure's seventh studio album and the fourth since Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards and Kellii Scott reunited in 2014, arriving five years after Wild Type Droid. The band produced it themselves and recorded it after finishing the Hulu/Disney+ documentary Every Time You Lose Your Mind. It is the first release on Arduous Records, the Virgin Music Group imprint launched by the band's manager Blaze James, issued together with Failure Records.

Lead single "The Air's on Fire" grew out of a serious back injury Andrews suffered just after the documentary edit was done. The surgery succeeded and the recovery was harder; Andrews has said the song is directly about the operation and waking up. Its video was directed by Sean Stout. Paramore's Hayley Williams duets with Andrews on "The Rising Skyline," a mostly acoustic breakup song. Paramore had covered "Stuck on You" on their 2006 EP The Summer Tic, and Williams later sang Failure's 1996 song "Daylight" with Andrews at a Los Angeles benefit.

Failure formed in Los Angeles in 1990, made three albums for Slash between 1992 and 1996, and disbanded in 1997. "Stuck on You," from Fantastic Planet, peaked at No. 23 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
