This is the single-LP vinyl edition of Tales of a Failed Shapeshifter, issued by Republic Records on May 15, 2026, a few months after the album first came out on February 27. Its eleven songs run just over 29 minutes.
It is Em Beihold's debut studio album. It follows her 2022 EP Egg in the Backseat and "Numb Little Bug," the 2022 single that was her major-label debut. She announced the album on January 7, 2026, and "Brutus," "Hot Goblin" and the opener, "Scared of the Dark," came out ahead of it as singles. The record reached No. 69 on the UK Album Downloads Chart.
Beihold has described the album as a story about "coming back to myself in the form of pop," written after the success of "Numb Little Bug" left her feeling she had lost her creativity. Every song is a co-write. James Flannigan worked on four of them, among them "Brutus" and "Strong Medicine," and Jason Suwito and Nick Lopez wrote "Unicorn" and "Hot Goblin" with her.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.
Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.
Signature Requirements
Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.
