Cookie Happened is the sixteenth studio album by Eels, the long-running project of songwriter Mark Oliver Everett, and follows 2024's Eels Time!. Everett traces the title to a line from Cookie Monster: "Me no cry because cookie is finished. Me smile because cookie happened." The record takes that as its frame, turning over the idea that joy and hardship keep their value even once they have passed.

This Indie Exclusive edition is a single LP pressed on neon green vinyl, issued by Play It Again Sam under catalogue number EWORKS127LPX. "Cap In Hand" is the lead single.
