Pink & Purple Galaxy Swirl Vinyl 3LP, Remastered Reissue

This 2023 reissue spreads Blinking Lights and Other Revelations over three LPs pressed in a pink and purple galaxy swirl, with all 33 songs laid out across six sides. The album was remastered for this release. E has said that mastering it meant hearing the whole double album for the first time since 2005, and he called the experience "intense and emotional." A 32-page book of lyrics and photographs comes with the records, and the jacket front carries Vagrant's 25th anniversary sticker.

Blinking Lights was the sixth Eels studio album and the band's first for Vagrant, following its exit from DreamWorks. Recorded between 1998 and 2004, it arrived in April 2005 as a 33-track double album with guest appearances from Tom Waits, Peter Buck and John Sebastian. It was also the last Eels record to feature original drummer Jonathan "Butch" Norton. On Metacritic it holds a weighted score of 85 from 28 reviews.

The original sleeve and liner notes were assembled from typewritten lyrics and family photos. An earlier vinyl run of 2,500 autographed copies, announced in 2008, added a fourth record carrying the live set Manchester 2005; this pressing keeps to the album's own 33 tracks.
