Haunted Striptease 2LP Edition: White & Green Marble and Neon Pink Vinyl

This is the Haunted Striptease edition of Futurismo's double LP. It is pressed on two colored discs, one white with green marbling and one neon pink. The label made several limited 2LP colorways for this release, including Laughing Gas and Cool Ghoul, and also put it out on 2CD and cassette. The jacket is a gloss-laminated sleeve with a wide spine. Inside are printed color inner sleeves and a fold-out insert with archival photos and liner notes by Gerald V. Casale.

The recording is Devo's set from Halloween night 1975 at the WHK Auditorium in Cleveland, where the band opened for Sun Ra. Futurismo's notes describe a crowd in costume that had already been given nitrous oxide and alcohol by the sponsoring radio station. They came expecting Bad Company covers and got de-evolution instead. Aquarium Drunkard reports that the band had advertised itself as a Bad Company cover act to get on the bill. By the label's account the crowd made physical threats before the night was over, and Devo kept playing anyway.

Futurismo believes this was the first time "Jocko Homo" was played in front of an audience, and the version here runs about twelve minutes. The audio was mixed and mastered from tapes kept in the band's own vaults. The label presents the record as a live companion to its Art Devo collection of the group's 1973-1977 recordings. Parts of the same show first came out in 1992 on Rykodisc's DEVO Live: The Mongoloid Years, but Futurismo describes the full performance as never released before. When it came out in June 2026, Aquarium Drunkard noted that the set was available only on physical formats and not on streaming services.
