Indie Exclusive Lime Green Vinyl LP

This is the independent-retail exclusive pressing of Peasants Revolt by Creekbed Carter Hogan. It is a single LP on lime green vinyl, issued in the US by Gar Hole Records under catalog number GHR-032. The label's own photography shows a solid lime green disc with pale blue center labels: one side is printed with the artist and title, the other with a hot dog vendor under a pair of umbrellas. On the back of the jacket, the ten song titles run in a hand-lettered frame around the artist's name. Another lime green LP of the album is sold under a different barcode (634457260009). This listing is the indie exclusive, UPC 634457260016.

Gar Hole Records is a Fayetteville, Arkansas label founded in fall 2020, and it released the album on July 24, 2026. The album follows Good St Riddance (2021) and Creekbed Carter (2024). The label's notes call the record a medieval-Americana manuscript. Hogan wrote it while moving between the North and the South, and recorded it during what Hogan describes as a time of "genocide, federal occupation, and workers' uprisings." The same notes set 14th-century king-killer ballads beside Appalachian strike songs, and labor songs beside Ethiopian jazz records. Hogan's newsletter credits the Anne Feeney Hellraiser Fund with supporting the album.

Britton Beisenherz co-produced and engineered the sessions, and plays piano and organ. The band includes fiddler Beth Chrisman, bassist Nora Predey, cellist Lindsey Verrill and drummer Sarah Schultz of Sun June. Verrill, Jeff Johnston and Carolina Chauffe also contributed arrangements. Hunter Prueger and Gabriela Torres play woodwinds on the title track, and fellow Gar Hole artist Jude Brothers sings with Hogan on "Mirrors." Americana UK's review notes that the penny whistle on "Cutbank of Cleves" is a Casio PK-1.

"Cutbank of Cleves" was the lead single, released with its video on May 12, 2026. Lexi Kiecker directed and edited the video, which was filmed at the Ivy Building in Minneapolis, not far from Hogan's base in Saint Paul. Hogan's newsletter describes the song as pairing the world's most expensive medieval manuscript with boxing imagery. "Burn" and "Icarus Again" also have music videos. The label's notes put part of the album at a hot dog stand at the end of the world, and the closing pair of titles, "Hot Dog! Apocalypse" and "After the Wurst of It," stick to the theme.
