Standard Black Vinyl LP

This is the standard black vinyl edition of Your Day Will Come, the second Chanel Beads album, issued by Jagjaguwar on June 26, 2026 under catalog number JAG487. One LP carries all 14 tracks: six on side A, eight on side B. Jagjaguwar's Secretly Store sold a green vinyl pressing as a store exclusive alongside it, which leaves the black disc as the general-release edition.

Chanel Beads is the project of Shane Lavers, who grew up in suburban Minnesota and started recording under the name in Seattle in 2016, while working at a library for the blind and playing basement shows in the city's DIY scene. He later settled in New York. His 2024 debut, also on Jagjaguwar, carried the same title. Reusing it began partly as a joke about the way the music business numbers an artist's chapters, though Lavers came to hear the phrase as a standoff between certainty and doubt, and the label presents this record as new songs rather than a sequel.

Lavers made the album in his small Brooklyn studio, keeping whatever take worked and recording into whichever microphone was nearby; he has said they do not make demos. Maya McGrory sings throughout and co-wrote "Silver Cup," and violinist Zachary Paul has a larger part than on the debut. Contributors include pedal steel player Mari Rubio, Anastasia Coope, Bella Litsa and Tchad Cousins of Urika's Bedroom. "Dust in the Wind" was co-written with Isaac Eiger of Strange Ranger, the first song the project has written with anyone outside the trio of Lavers, McGrory and Paul.

"The Coward Forgets His Nightmare" was released first, in October 2025. "Song for the Messenger" followed on April 29, 2026 with the album announcement and a video directed by Robbie Barnett, and "Dust in the Wind" arrived in late May together with news of a North American tour. Lavers has said "Tyler Richard" is about dreaming of someone who has died and waking to remember they are gone. On release, The Line of Best Fit rated the album 8/10, and NME heard it as refinement rather than repetition.
