180 Gram Black Vinyl, Brian May Gold Series

This is the 2022 Gold Series reissue of Another World, Brian May's second solo album, on a single 180-gram black LP. It followed Back to the Light as the second title in the series, remastered by Bob Ludwig from the original mixes. The runouts on this pressing mark a half-speed cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road.

May recorded the album at Allerton Hill, his home studio, and it was first released in June 1998. Cozy Powell drums on seven of the twelve songs, Jeff Beck plays guitar on "The Guv'nor," and Taylor Hawkins drums on "Cyborg." The record is dedicated to May's mother and to Powell, who died in April 1998, before it came out.

"Business" was commissioned as the theme for the British TV series Frank Stubbs Promotes, and "On My Way Up" was written for its second series. The title song, the video above, was written for the film Sliding Doors and left out of it. Three covers round out the album: Larry Williams's "Slow Down," Jimi Hendrix's "One Rainy Wish" and Mott the Hoople's "All the Way from Memphis," with Ian Hunter credited as "Special Guest Raconteur." The hidden piano piece "Being on My Own" belongs to the CD formats, so this LP ends on "Another World."

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Tracking & Safe Delivery

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.

Evergreen Vinyl is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after being marked as delivered by the carrier. Customers are responsible for selecting a shipping address where deliveries can be received safely.

If a shipment is delayed, missing, or marked as delivered but not received, we’re happy to assist in coordinating with the carrier.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
