180-Gram Vinyl LP, Remastered, Gatefold Jacket

This is Rhino's single-LP reissue of Master of Reality, catalog number RR1 2562, released in the US on August 5, 2016. It carries the 2012 remaster on 180-gram vinyl, which the distributor lists as black. The gatefold jacket follows the original American Warner Bros. sleeve, with the WB logo, the word "Stereo" and the catalog number 2562 in the upper left corner of the front cover. The lyrics are printed on the back cover, and a separate inner sleeve carries a band and album biography on both sides.

Master of Reality is Black Sabbath's third studio album. It was recorded at Island Studios in London between February and April 1971 with producer Rodger Bain, and it was his last production for the band before Tony Iommi took over that role. Iommi and Geezer Butler tuned their instruments down for the sessions to ease string tension, a change Iommi credited with a "bigger, heavier sound." On "Solitude," Iommi played flute and piano as well as guitar.

The album reached number five on the UK Albums Chart and number eight on the Billboard 200, and the RIAA later certified it double platinum for two million copies sold in the US. Butler, the band's main lyricist, drew on his Catholic upbringing for "After Forever." The song is listed here as including "The Elegy," the only one of four segment subtitles from the first North American editions that later pressings kept.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
