Rocktober 2019 Deluxe Edition 2LP on 180g Black Vinyl in a Gatefold Jacket

Rhino issued this double LP on October 25, 2019, as part of its Rocktober 2019 run of catalog rock reissues. It is the deluxe configuration of Dehumanizer, pressed on two 180-gram black discs and housed in a gatefold jacket, catalog number R1 599496. The first record carries the original album across sides A and B. The second gathers three studio rarities: the single edit of "Master of Insanity," the B-side version of "Letters From Earth," and the version of "Time Machine" produced by the band for the Wayne's World soundtrack. Six songs recorded live at the Sundome in Tampa, Florida, on July 25, 1992, fill out sides C and D, including Dio-era staples "Children of the Sea," "Die Young" and "Neon Knights."

The audio carries Andy Pearce's remaster, with lacquers cut by Barry Grint at Alchemy Mastering. Dom Lawson wrote the liner notes, and Wil Rees's cover illustration returns from the 1992 sleeve. This bonus program first appeared on the album's 2011 expanded reissue; this set brings it to vinyl.

Dehumanizer was Black Sabbath's sixteenth studio album, first released in June 1992. It reunited Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and drummer Vinny Appice, the lineup behind 1981's Mob Rules, after Cozy Powell was sidelined by a horse riding accident. Produced by Mack and recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, it reached the UK Top 40 and peaked at number 44 on the Billboard 200. Its lead single, "TV Crimes," took aim at American televangelists.
