This is One Little Independent Records' UK single-LP edition of Homogenic, catalog number TPLP71, brought in as an import. The ten tracks are cut five to a side: Hunter through All Neon Like on side A, 5 Years through All Is Full Of Love on side B, matching the running order printed on the back of the jacket.
Homogenic is Björk's third studio album, first issued in September 1997. She produced it with Mark Bell, Guy Sigsworth, Howie B and Markus Dravs, setting electronic beats against string parts played by the Icelandic String Octet, with Eumir Deodato conducting and arranging some of the pieces. Sessions began at her home in London and moved to Málaga, Spain, where most of the record was made. Mark Bell's work includes Pluto, Alarm Call and the bassline in Jóga.
The album topped the Icelandic albums chart, reached number four in the UK and number 28 on the US Billboard 200. Five singles came from it: Jóga, Bachelorette, Hunter, Alarm Call and All Is Full of Love. Michel Gondry's video for Bachelorette won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Art Direction. The cover image was photographed by Nick Knight, with styling by Alexander McQueen.
