Dream School Dropout pairs King Black Acid, the Portland, Oregon project of Daniel Riddle, with Birdie Swann Sisters, a pair of musicians and producers from France and Iceland. Cavity Search Records released it on LP on September 26, 2025, as catalog number CSR184.
The ten songs are billed as cinematic 1980s dream pop crossed with 1970s soulful rhythm and blues, set inside an orchestrated psychedelic frame. Darrell Thorp, whose engineering credits include Radiohead, Beck and Paul McCartney, mixed the album.
Riddle sings and plays guitar, drums, omnichord and sampler, and the Swann Sisters handle synthesizers and programming, with both acts credited as producers. Three players come from King Black Acid's Rainbow Lodge lineup: Jordan Ruback on drums and piano, Erik Mimnaugh on bass and Jonathan Moore on keyboards. "Hurricane" was issued ahead of the album as a single in a Birdie Swann mix, and "Hold Your Fire," the opener, is the visualiser above.
Evergreen Vinyl ships records with care and attention to detail, using established carriers and packaging practices designed to protect physical media in transit.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates
Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.
Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.
While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.
Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.
Signature Requirements
Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.
