Baby Blue BioVinyl LP, First International Pressing in Baby Blue

Billie Eilish's debut album on baby blue vinyl, issued for the international market for the first time. A baby blue edition existed in 2019 as a US retail exclusive at FYE; this single LP carries that color into general release, cataloged as 9572362, and the sticker on the front reads "First Time International Pressing Baby Blue" above the album's three best-known singles.

The disc is BioVinyl. Eilish's official store explains that it replaces the petroleum normally used in vinyl production with used cooking oil and waste gases. The rest of the package follows the same brief: every paper and board component is FSC-certified and 100% recycled, the inks are raw and plant-based, the gloss varnish is water-based, and a reusable sleeve of 100% recycled poly stands in for shrink wrap. It was manufactured in the Czech Republic for a UK release.

When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? first appeared on March 29, 2019, on Darkroom and Interscope. Eilish was 17, and she wrote most of it with her brother Finneas O'Connell, who produced it in his small bedroom studio in Highland Park, Los Angeles; Rob Kinelski mixed it. The title is a line from "Bury a Friend." The album opened at number one in many countries and made Eilish the youngest female solo act to top the UK albums chart.

At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards it won Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, while "Bad Guy" took Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Side B carries "My Strange Addiction," which samples an episode of The Office, with cast members granting the clearance personally. The final three titles on that side read as one sentence: Listen Before I Go, I Love You, Goodbye.
