Black Vinyl LP in Gatefold Sleeve

This is the standard black-vinyl edition of Two Hands from 4AD, catalog number 4AD0180LP: a single LP housed in a gatefold jacket. 4AD issued it alongside a limited "Desert Peach" colored pressing, which carries its own barcode.

Two Hands is the fourth studio album by Big Thief, released through 4AD on October 11, 2019, five months after U.F.O.F. and described as that record's "earth twin." Recording began only days after the band finished the U.F.O.F. sessions at Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, Washington, and moved to Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, in the Chihuahuan Desert, in July 2018. The songs were tracked live with almost no overdubs, and all but two carry entirely live vocal takes.

The lineup is Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Max Oleartchik and James Krivchenia. Andrew Sarlo produced, and mixing was split between Sarlo and Krivchenia at Bunker Studios in Brooklyn and at Sarlo's Cabin and Sound City in Los Angeles; Greg Calbi mastered. "Not" was scrapped from the Texas sessions and re-recorded at Sound City in April 2019, captured live on the first take. "Replaced," written by Lenker and Meek, appears as its original demo from a February 2018 cabin session in Topanga Canyon. In the label's press release, Lenker called these the songs "that I'm the most proud of."

"Not" and "Forgotten Eyes" were issued as singles ahead of the album. "Not" went on to Grammy nominations for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, and Spin named Two Hands its best album of 2019. The cover photograph is by Dustin Condren, with design and layout by Sarah Schiesser.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.

Evergreen Vinyl is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after being marked as delivered by the carrier. Customers are responsible for selecting a shipping address where deliveries can be received safely.

• Please retain all original packaging, including the outer box and packing materials

• Contact us as soon as possible (ideally immediately) after delivery

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
