Rhino Reserve 180 Gram Black Vinyl, Rocktober 2026

This is the Rhino Reserve edition of Alice Cooper Goes To Hell: a single 180-gram black LP, catalog number RES1 2896. The lacquers were cut from the original analog master by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab, and the record was pressed in California at Fidelity Record Pressing. The jacket carries the red Rhino Reserve seal, marked 180 gram and cut from analog tape.

It is one of 54 limited-edition vinyl titles in Rhino's Rocktober 2026 program, sold only through select brick-and-mortar stores while supplies last. Goes To Hell is in the October 30 wave, next to Rhino Reserve pressings of The Chills' Submarine Bells, The Cramps' Flamejob and two Todd Rundgren albums.

The album first came out in 1976, and Rhino's sticker notes it was Cooper's first album for Warner. It was his second solo record and ninth studio album overall, and it carries on the story of Steven from Welcome to My Nightmare. Cooper wrote it with guitarist Dick Wagner and producer Bob Ezrin. Steve Hunter adds guitar, Tony Levin plays bass and Allan Schwartzberg plays drums, with Jim Gordon drumming on three tracks. Cooper called "I Never Cry" "an alcoholic confession." The album reached No. 27 in the US and was certified Gold.

The 1976 tour for the album was cancelled before it started because Cooper was ill with anemia. "Go to Hell" still made it into his live show and has been played on most tours since. The record also includes Cooper's version of the standard "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows."
