Red & White Splatter Vinyl 20th Anniversary Edition

Dine Alone Records marks twenty years of Crisis with this single 12-inch LP on red and white splatter vinyl, catalog number DAV156, issued with updated artwork and a new printed O-card over the jacket. The label's store lists the pressing as made in Canada.

Crisis was Alexisonfire's third studio album, released on August 22, 2006, through Distort Entertainment in Canada, Vagrant in the US and Hassle Records in the UK. Julius Butty produced it with the band at Metalworks in Mississauga and Silo Recording Studio in Ontario between February and March 2006, with Nick Blagona engineering and Joao Carvalho mastering. Gared O'Donnell of Planes Mistaken for Stars sings on "You Burn First." The cover draws on the aftermath of the Great Lakes Blizzard of 1977 in the Niagara Region and Western New York, the same event behind the lyrics of the title track.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian Albums chart with more than 20,000 copies in its first week and was certified platinum in Canada in May 2007. It reached No. 189 on the Billboard 200 and No. 5 on Heatseekers Albums in the US, and No. 72 in the UK. "Boiled Frogs," "This Could Be Anywhere in the World," "Rough Hands" and "Drunks, Lovers, Sinners and Saints" were released as singles, and Kerrang! placed Crisis at No. 50 on its list of the 50 greatest albums of the 21st century.
