Translucent Magenta Vinyl, 180 Gram, Limited Edition

Music On Vinyl presses Alcazarized here as a limited run on translucent magenta vinyl, catalog MOVLP3290: one 180-gram LP with an insert. The Dutch reissue label first put the album on vinyl in 2023, as 750 numbered copies on gold, and this magenta edition is a separate pressing with its own barcode. The sleeve sticker lists four singles carried on the record: "Not A Sinner Nor A Saint", "This Is The World We Live In", "Crying At The Discoteque" and "Love Life", plus an extra hidden track.

Alcazarized was the second studio album from the Swedish dance-pop group Alcazar and the first they made as a four-piece, after singer Magnus Carlsson joined. It came out in Sweden in May 2003, reached the rest of Europe in August 2004 and Japan that October, and each territory got a slightly different track listing.

The songs carry an unusual set of connections. "Funky Feet" is a song ABBA recorded and never officially issued. "Love Life" was written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys. "This Is The World We Live In", produced by Jonas von der Burg and released as a single in June 2004, interpolates Diana Ross's "Upside Down" under a chorus adapted from Genesis's "Land Of Confusion". "Not A Sinner Nor A Saint" was the group's Melodifestivalen entry in 2003, and "Someday" served as the official song of Stockholm Pride that summer.

Side B closes on two extras. "Crying At The Discoteque", the 2000 single from the debut album Casino, appears as a bonus track; Music On Vinyl's notes call it the group's biggest international hit and record its gold certification. It is followed by the hidden track "Here I Am", later used to promote the Dancefloor Deluxe compilation, which climbed to number 6 on the Finnish singles chart.
