Vinyl LP Reissue in Gatefold Jacket

Vagrant Records reissued Momentary Masters on vinyl in December 2023 under its original US catalog number, VR4354: one 12-inch LP cut at 33 RPM and housed in a gatefold jacket. Elusive Disc's listing describes it as the album's first time on vinyl since 2015. When Vagrant first pressed the record in 2015, the US run was a limited white-vinyl edition.

Momentary Masters is Albert Hammond Jr.'s third solo album and his first full-length since 2008's ¿Cómo Te Llama?. It came out on July 31, 2015. Hammond made it outside the Strokes with a full band of his own: Mikey Hart and Hammarsing Kharhmar on guitar, Jordan Brooks on bass and Jeremy Gustin on drums. It was recorded at his studio in upstate New York. Gus Oberg produced and engineered the sessions, as he had the AHJ EP and the Strokes' Angles and Comedown Machine. Ben Baptie mixed the album and Dave Kutch mastered it.

The title comes from Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot, a book about how fleeting human accomplishment is. Rolling Stone reported that the poet Anne Sexton was another influence on the record. Hammond wrote nine of the ten songs. The tenth is a cover of Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice", which opens side two. The opening track, "Born Slippy", was the first single, in July 2015, and its video was directed by Hammond's wife, Justyna. "Losing Touch" followed it the same month.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

• Please retain all original packaging, including the outer box and packing materials

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
