Music On Vinyl issued this 25th anniversary edition of On Air in 2021 on 180-gram vinyl, in 1,500 individually numbered copies. The gatefold jacket has a leather-laminate finish, and an insert carries the lyrics and photographs. Peter Curzon of Storm Studios recreated the artwork for vinyl from the original cover design he made with Storm Thorgerson.
On Air was Alan Parsons' second solo album, released in 1996 after the end of the Alan Parsons Project. Its songs follow the history of flight, from the Daedalus and Icarus myth in "Too Close to the Sun" and Leonardo da Vinci's designs for a flying machine in "One Day to Fly" to the space race in "Apollo," which carries John F. Kennedy's speech of May 25, 1961. "Brother Up in Heaven" remembers guitarist Ian Bairnson's cousin, who died in 1994.
Bairnson, the Project's longtime guitarist, was the album's chief creative force. Lead vocals are shared among Eric Stewart, Neil Lockwood, Steve Overland, Christopher Cross and Graham Dye, and Andrew Powell arranged and conducted the orchestral parts. Parsons engineered and mixed the record himself.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates
Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.
Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.
While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.
Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.
Signature Requirements
Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.
