Limited Edition Black Sparkling 10-inch Vinyl, 50th Anniversary

This is the limited black sparkling pressing of the 10-inch single ABBA's official stores issued on 14 August 2026, fifty years after "Dancing Queen" first appeared. A plain black 10-inch was released alongside it. This one is black vinyl flecked with white sparkle and comes in the "76" anniversary sleeve. The audio was remastered at Abbey Road Studios. The jacket is a glossy single sleeve with a paper inner sleeve, and the back cover lists both sides above the Polar logo.

Side B carries "La Reina Del Baile," the Spanish-language "Dancing Queen." ABBA first recorded it as "Reina Danzante," with Spanish lyrics by Buddy and Mary McCluskey, for the 1980 compilation Gracias Por La Música. It took its current title when it was included on ABBA Oro: Grandes Éxitos in the 1990s.

Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson wrote the song, and Andersson and Ulvaeus produced it. Sessions began on 4 August 1975 under the working title "Boogaloo," and the record reached Swedish shops in August 1976 as the first single from Arrival, the group's fourth studio album. It topped the charts in more than a dozen countries, held number one in Sweden for 14 weeks, and remains ABBA's only number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Academy inducted it into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015.

Lasse Hallström directed the 1976 music video at Alexandra's discotheque in central Stockholm. Its YouTube upload passed one billion views on 29 June 2025.
