Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Turntable?

A turntable is the part of an audio system that spins a vinyl record. It allows a cartridge and stylus to read the grooves. Turntables need extra equipment, such as a phono preamp and speakers, to produce sound.

What is the Difference Between a Turntable and a Record Player?

A turntable is one part of a larger system that spins records. It requires additional gear, such as speakers. On the other hand, a record player is an all-in-one unit with built-in speakers and amplification. The best record player with speakers offers convenience, while turntables are timeless and flexible.

What Do I Need to Use a Turntable With Speakers?

You’ll need powered speakers or an amplifier and passive speakers. And, if your turntable includes a built-in phono preamp, such as the AT-LP60XBT-BK, you can connect directly to powered speakers.

Is A Bluetooth Turntable Worth It?

Yes. It comes with the advantage of fewer cables and listening flexibility. The AT-LP60XBT-BK also offers traditional wired outputs, so you can choose your preferred connection style.
